The serenity of the village was shattered when news that a number of tigers were seen close to the village. And it is likely that the village may be vulnerable to tiger attacks. The villagers were disgruntled over this matter and vote that a brave man were to go to the forest and eradicate all of the tigers. "But who shall go?"asked the village chief. "Me" came a reply from the crowd. They all turned and found out that Jack Spine, a sedate man who always got bullied by others. Everyone was shocked of his sudden decision but since then, everyone treated him with respect.
